Blythe House Storage Decant

Polyurethane Research Project and Treatment

Machine Shop Model Project

Flight Gallery Condition Survey

Making the Modern World Condition Survey

Additionally, my research and treatment of a deteriorating polyurethane pillow from an iron lung on display have provided me with hands-on experience in consolidating the unstable material using a method developed by the Netherlands Cultural Heritage Agency.

I had the opportunity to assist with the packaging and treatment of objects being transported from Blythe House a separate storage facility located outside of London. The Science Museum, along with other institutions, is required to relocate all collections from Blythe House to alternative locations by the end of 2023. This relocation primarily involves preventative measures such as supportive packaging to ensure the safe and efficient transport of objects. Some objects have also required treatment before transportation due to their unstable physical conditions.
