EXHIBITION DESIGN
Having a background in fine art, academic research, and museums, exhibition design requires a level of detail in order to bring a space to life. I work to create inviting environments that honour the items on display. Working with various departments, communities, and institutions. Careful research is taken to create each design.
KURT COBAIN UNPLUGGED
Step into the world of Kurt Cobain and explore the legacy of Nirvana, a band that defined a generation. Explore their iconic 1993 MTV Unplugged performance, one of Nirvana's final televised appearances before Cobain’s death just five months later. The exhibition, at the Royal College of Music Museum, reunites Kurt Cobain’s guitar with another piece of rock history – his famous olive-green mohair cardigan, worn during the MTV Unplugged performance, marking the first time these two legendary items have been displayed together.
Taking inspiration from Kurt’s personal artwork and childhood, much of the design is an homage to his love for vibrant color, eye catching visuals, and punk rock roots.
2024 - SUFI MUSIC & WOMEN OF SOUTH ASIA
2024 - AWAKEN: Sufi Music & Women of South Asia - Displayed at the Royal College of Music Museum. It explores the legacy of Sufi music and the art of South Asia. Diligent research went into the panel designs, with inspiration coming from traditional textiles and architectural patterns from each region explored in the exhibition. The vibrant content stands alongside the bold instruments, clothing, and imagery, inviting visitors to delve into the rich history of this topic.
