Overview:
Contributed to the preventative and remedial conservation of various artworks during the installation process of the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. Collaborated with the conservation team, assessing art works being unpacked and installed. Aiding in the installation of numerous artworks, the pieces ranged in medium, including textile, glass, painted surfaces, metal, and wood.
Photography of unpackaging and installation process is currently not permitted to share by the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale.
Proposed treatments and display methods for interactive artworks to ensure public safety and minimise damage to artwork while on display. Regularly adapted to the needs of the team and changing time scales to better accommodate the exhibition installation. Collaborated with conservators, art handlers, health and safety professionals, and artists across various discipline each day, as every step of the process involved all team members.. Focused on the value of effective communication to accommodate the strict installation time scale.
