Fairy Tales Exhibition

Project Duration: July 2025 - August 2026
Overview:
Fairy Tales dives into a world of deep dark forest, royal palaces, and heroe’s journeys. Utilising an array of interactive displays, numerous objects were employed in the exhbition to showcase the breadth of story telling in fairy tales and literature. A variety of handmade puppets were condition assessed and carefully rigged for display, offering a dynamic element in the exhibition. Each puppet was thoroughly assessed for physical stability, display needs, and environmental parameters. Pieces were first documented and assessed at lender’s theatre, then installed following. Exhibition is open from 27 March to 23 August 2026. Deinstallation and condition updates will follow after the exhibition’s closing.
Secret Maps Exhibition

Project Duration: October 2025 - January 2026
Overview:
Through over 100 items the exhibition examined how maps have played a role in preserving secrets for the benefit of their creators from the 14th century to the present day. From enigma machines to hairbrushes with secret compartments for sharing detailed maps and information, the exhibition had a unique combination of artefacts to condition assess and install. Each object was thoroughly assessed for physical stability, display needs, and environmental parameters. Packaging, transport needs, and full assessments were performed for a vartiety of artefacts.
Unearthed: The Power of Gardening Exhibition

Project Duration: May - August 2025
Overview:
Unearthed was a major exhibition exploring the transformative, enriching and sometimes radical power of gardening in Britain and the impact it has on people, communities and the environment.
From botanical gardens and allotments to windowsills and green community spaces, Unearthed reveals how the act of gardening can promote healing and wellbeing, forge closer communities, refresh neglected spaces and drive social change. Condition assessments for a wardian case, historic boots, lawn mower, and various tools were conducted. Each item was assessed and installed with bespoke mounts.
Beyond the Bassline Exhibition
Role: Project Conservator
Project Duration: March - April 2024
Overview:
As the first major exhibition of its kind, "Beyond the Bassline" explores the innovative history of Black British sound and the global impact it has had for generations. In preparation of the exhibition, each instrument was individually assessed prior to transport with detailed condition assessments and documenting the physical stability of each instrument and advising on display requirements. Following the completion of the reports, the instruments were installed in collaboration with the exhibition team and deinstalled at the exhibition closing in April 2024.
